Let the Games Begin!

This fall Clarissa and Colin are playing on the same soccer team, The Cheetahs.
Technically, they should be on two different teams because of their ages, but when I told the director that Duane was going to be gone, she took pity on me and put them together.
They are both doing well - Clarissa scored the only goal for her team last week, and Colin is slowly getting the hang of playing as a team!

Yes, the spelled Clarissa's name wrong on her jersey...

But that doesn't keep her from going after the ball!

Colin certainly knows what to do when he's near the goal!

After the kids soccer game, we went over to Jill & Gabe's house for dinner and Guitar Hero - let's just say it's not a party until wine has been drunk and furniture broken! (Both by me, sorry to say) oh dear...

Fini Flights and Doing the Limbo

Well, the Henry family is in a state of limbo right now as we prepare for our December move. And as I write that, I can't help but think of the word "Limbo" - bending yourself backwards to get under an obstacle - how appropriate for what we are going through right now! Duane had his final "fini" flight in the T-1 and is now up in North Carolina as he gets a crash (not literally, we hope!) course in the F-15E. The kiddos and I are still down here in Florida, doing the school/church/soccer/scouts routine that keeps us on our toes! With all three kids in school now, I do have more time to dig through boxes and closets and tackle those projects that have needed to be done for several years now! Let the limbo begin!

Here are some photos from the past few weeks:

This is the T-1, one of the aircraft Duane instructed in.

Trying to avoid the inevitable drenching...

And of course, top it all off with the cheapest champagne imaginable...

A kiss for me!

Colin proudly shouted to everyone "THAT'S MY DADDY!" when he got off the plane!

A great family picture... Clarissa was edging away because she didn't want to get wet!

Our good friend, Gabe Price, came down to celebrate Duane's fini flight as well!
