Thanks for stopping by!

1. Since these questions are posting on the first day of April it seems only right to ask-when was the last time you did something foolish? If you can't answer that one, try this one-when was the last time someone fooled you?

Well, seeing as how I have only been at my job for 6 weeks, I've done several foolish things inadvertently - transferred people to the wrong voice mail, answered the phone with the wrong greeting, etc.  Not the end of the world, just foolish!

2. What's the last biography or non-fiction book you've read? Was it any good?

I had several friends recommend The Astronauts Wives Club to me, which I finished last month.  I found it very interesting to see the pressures that were put on these women, the standards (even double standards) that they were held to, and how the whole space program began and was publicized.  Towards the end of it I got a bit bored, but overall I found it a good book.

3. Garlic-friend or foe? What's your favorite dish made with garlic?

Oh, I love garlic!  I don't think I have a particular favorite dish made with it - I just use it whenever I can!

4. Several Spring flower festivals happen in the US during the month of April. Of those listed, which would you most like to see in person...The Skagit Tulip Festival in Skagit Washington, The Dogwood Arts Festival in Knoxville Tennessee, The North Carolina Azalea Festival in Wilmington North Carolina or the Daffodil Festival Weekend on Nantucket Island, Massachussets?

I'd gladly take any of them!  But if I had to choose, I'd go to the tulip festival in Washington - I think their variety of colors are amazing and tulips are one of my favorite flowers!

5. How do you choose which blogs to read?  What is something that will make you stop and read every time? Something that makes you say, 'eh, think I'll skip this one and move on to the next'?

I generally read blogs that are recommended by others, that I read about, or that I have been following for years.  I love unique perspectives, honesty, humor, and keeping it real.
Something that will make me stop and read every time is humor!  But I'll skip it if the blog seems to be simple non-educated drivel, is abusive or foul.

6. April is National Mathematics Education Month so tell us, when did you last use math?

When i checked our banking statement.  Blech.

7. In honor of the A-Z challenge kicking off on April 1...choose one word beginning with the letter A to describe your yesterday.

Awful.  I've got a blog post circulating in my mind about it... I just haven't quite figured out how to put it into words yet.  Quite a rough day.

8. Insert your own random thought here.

So I had thought about using this "random thought" space to talk about my day yesterday, to ask for prayer, to reflect and cry and rant and... well, you know.  But, it's a new day... and though the issues from yesterday are not going away any time soon, I just don't feel like getting into it right now.  Just say a prayer, if you feel so inclined.  So, lets change gears and talk about something insignificant... like movies.

We rented "Gravity" last night - since it has gotten so many mixed reviews, we thought we would see what it was all about.  Have you seen it?  I'll admit, the ending left me quite unfulfilled... and I hate it when movies are like that!  But the cinematography was amazing... very well done.  Thoughts?
