Good morning friends! Thanks for joining in on this week's Hodgepodge - our small break in the middle of the week!
1. Did March come in like a lion or was it something less ferocious in your neck of the woods?
1. Did March come in like a lion or was it something less ferocious in your neck of the woods?
Like a lion here - we have had a very mild winter, but on March 1 it was cold and snowy all day long. Three days later it was 60 degrees. And then yesterday it was back to cold with 45 mph winds. Definitely lion-y behavior.
2. Speaking of lions, which one's your film favorite...The Cowardly Lion(Wizard of Oz), Mufasa (The Lion King), Elsa (Born Free), or Alex(Madagascar)? You may notice I left Aslan off the list. Including him would have made this question way too easy for many of you.
I've never seen Born Free (guess I need to go see that one now). So of the others, I would have to say Mufasa - I loved his leadership, his sacrifice for his son, and his wisdom. Plus, his name is just fun to say! :-)
3. What's your favorite spot from which to view the sunrise or sunset?
Sunset - over the canyons of Arizona, where the reds and oranges from the rocks turn the sunset into fire!
Sunrise - over the Pacific ocean as I sit on the rocks of Hawaii with my beloved's arms around me. Sigh. It's my happy place.
Truly - the heavens declare the glory and majesty of our Lord - He is good!
4. To what extent is knowledge power and to what extent is truth power? What's the difference?
Everyone has their own idea of what "Knowledge" is - but truth, whatever is true, sets you free... it is real, can't be denied.
5. What's something peculiar you've seen recently?
Hmmm... I can't think of anything. Unless you count the pile of laundry that is STILL on my bathroom floor, waiting to be washed. I just can't understand why it hasn't been washed yet. Seriously... someone should really take care of that. Wonder who that will be? ;-)
6. Bottled water...your thoughts?
Certainly convenient, and good to have filtered water when our own tap water may be questionable (although certainly not compared to some countries!) But with the easy filtering systems we have available to us, I think it is somewhat ridiculous that we don't just refill our own bottles. I think it is advertising genius - not that I approve - but it's remarkable.
7. What's your strongest sense?
Smell, definitely.
8. Insert your own random thought here.
So, you know how a couple of weeks ago I told you about my friend Lauren, and the awesome business she has started bringing imported European treasures to our homes... well, we were chatting the other day and she has offered a give-away for the readers of my blog! yea! So stay tuned - we are putting our heads together and will put it here next week! And if you would like to check out her website in the meantime, here it is! Have a wonderful week, friends!
