Please keep Joyce in your prayers as she and her family travel through the celebrations of life and graduations, while also mourning the loss of her sweet niece who is finally at peace after a long battle with leukemia. 1. What's something you miss about the 1980's? If you're too young to miss the 80's how about the 90's?
Oh my - the 80s were my formative elementary, jr high, and high school years! AND I grew up in southern California, the true valley girl! Like, totally! What do I miss? The music! :-) My favorite movies are the ones that "revisit" the 80s - the Wedding Singer, Music and Lyrics, etc.
As far as my elementary classmates, teachers, and other aspects of life go, though... nope... don't really miss that. Much happier now.
2. Do you have a library card? If so, how often do you visit?
Yes! I visit about once a month or so - sometimes more, depending on kids schedules and such. I was just there yesterday, actually!
3. What's the secret to success?
"Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your strength, and with all your mind, and love your neighbor as yourself."
4. This is National Backyard Games week...what's your favorite backyard game?
Volleyball!
5. If I dropped by today what would I find on your coffee table?
I'm looking right at it - right now on my coffee table is my Bible, the book I am reading with four of my girlfriends "When Perfect Isn't Enough" by Nancy Kennedy, my hubby's laptop, my youngest son's library books, a Wii remote, and my "fake book" of Pride of Prejudice that really holds the tv/dvr/blu-ray remotes.
6. Do you own a bicycle? When was the last time you rode a bicycle? Is that something you enjoy?
Yes, I do! I love it - not only do I greatly enjoy riding my bike, but it used to belong to my best friend Erika, who went home to her Father 3 years ago. I can't ride it (or do much else) without thinking of her! A huge shout out to her hubs and our dear friend, Rob, for giving it to me!
7. What's your favorite cheese?
Havarti. It's like a bite of Heaven. I'm sure. Not that I really know what heaven tastes like... but I'm pretty sure it would either taste like chocolate or Havarti cheese. But not the two together... I don't think that would work all that well.
