Summer has Befun...

Caleb, getting ready for his very first Boy/Girl dance at school - he was so excited!

Now that summer h as begun, we are playing at the beach a couple of times a week!

Such the surfer girl...

Caleb was asked to throw the first pitch at the Pensacola Pelicans baseball game!

Caleb and his good friend Brady at the ball game!

OK - so what happens when you take a month off or so from updating your blog? You end up with an incredibly wide variety of photos to share. Take the one above... why would I show you a picture of a piece of pizza? (And a rather small one at that) - Well, because that piece of pizza is a symbol of two very unselfish kids... our Caleb and our neighbor, Aisa. Not only good friends, they both have very sweet hearts and they love to cook - and they came up with the idea one evening to cook dinner for Heather (Aisa's mom) and I, because as they put it, "You two have been so sad since Erika's death and we just want to do something nice for you." So they got their dads involved in the grocery shopping, as in they drove them, but these two kids put their OWN money towards ALL of the groceries needed to make pizza for both families and a stars-and-stripes cake that was somehow devoured before we could get a picture taken.

But although the dining portions may have been small, what struck us was how amazingly huge their little hearts were.

Caleb and Aisa - friends and chefs du' jour!

Now on to the rest of the past month - Colin proudly graduated from prekindergarten (could you hear my sigh of relief? This was a tough year for everyone!)

And Clarissa lost her upper middle tooth, giving her the precious gap-toothed smile that all 1st graders own at one time or another!
