And the youngest turns Five...

Well, after a rain delay of 24 hours, we had our joint birthday party at a local park. (Colin and his friend Dylan both have birthdays around the same time, and Dylan is moving soon, so we decided to combine our birthday parties)
It poured rain the day before, and even the next morning it was looking pretty soggy! As we left church, Clarissa said, "Don't worry, I prayed for the rain to stop during Colin's party" and sure enough, right at 2:00, just as the guests were starting to arrive, the blue sky broke through and we were bathed in sunshine for two hours!
Then, as we packed up to leave, the clouds came back... talk about a child's prayers being answered!

Colin and Dylan, blowing out their birthday candles together!

I'm 5 years old now!

Oma and Opa Henry got Colin this Police Car tent that goes over his bed - what fun!
It even comes with a very beautiful siren (slight sarcasm there!) It's a lot of fun!

Colin immediately asked Clarissa to make a sign for his tent... too cute!

A shark cage, complete with a diver and a great white shark
- what more could a shark-obsessed 5-year-old ask for?

Reading the new "David" book - Colin thinks it's funny when we
insert his name "No, Colin David!" into the text instead of just "No David!"

Colin, helping me make his birthday cupcakes, which were, of course, ocean animal themed!

Wow, Colin is 5. How does time go by so fast? We pull into Florida March 22 so we will get in touch soon.
